Titulares & Asininity: "It's Dangerous to Be Indigenous"

  • The PBS show Frontline just posted one of the more honest portrayals of the ethnic cleansing underway in Bolivia as you'll find in the mainstream press.
  • A fake human rights group (staffed by Thor and Alek!) just released a report blaming Bolivian Indians for their own cleansing.
  • Colombian President Alvaro Uribe declared another one of those "states of internal commotion" allowing himself to rule by decree for 90 days.
  • Guardian reporter Rick Astley Rory Carroll has some new story on Ecuador and the Galapagos or whatever.
  • Hey look US influence in Latin America is "waning" again, like always.
