Haha so funny, this t-shirt. You probably heard that it was worn last week by a member of famous Puerto Rican musical troupe Calle 13 at some MTV awards dealie in California. Even funnier, though, has been watching reporters try to explain what exactly it "All Means." Here's AP's game attempt:
"Perez also wore a black T-shirt with a message that appeared to criticize Colombian President Alvaro Uribe for a deal to allow U.S. bases in his country -- and which could be read to suggest he has paramilitary links."Hmm, could be! Naturally the Colombians have gone batshit crazy over this mean old t-shirt that says these all terrible, true things. The Uribe administration has already issued a creepy fatwa against the band and their "slanderous" eveningwear, and local municipalities have begun to ban Calle 13 concerts, for freedom.
BoRev Flashback: Readers will remember Calle 13 from their lawsuit a few years back to prevent the Venezuelan political opposition from using their music in anti-Chavez campaigns, which is why they are your favorite band, even though you totally hate reggaeton.

Right on Paul Escobar. I love how Puerto Rico and Colombia canceled their concerts and not even the reporters bring up the freedom of speech issue, which is exactly what they would have spelled out for you 5 times if it were Chavez.
Even if you don't like the reggaeton (which they don't consider their music to be) we should all be fans of Residente and Calle 13's analysis and cojones.

Well, of course Santos is "exemplary". He figured out a perfect way to dispose of pesky peasants--kill them, then dress them up in confiscated FARC uniforms. Always the same ones, never mind if the size is right or not. Just claim they were FARC and no one will ever know!

Oh, bad luck! Another high member of the Uribe administration in Colombia (this time the VP) has been accidentally and unfairly investigated for close involvement with fostering and collaborating with right wing narco-paramilitary death squads:
Clearly this is all the fault of Hugo Chavez, Manuel Zelaya, and that witch from H. R. Pufnstuf.

I'm surprised that she forgot that Mike is basically a jokester. It's like she took seriously that "citizen's arrest" thing from his latest film, or something.

Okay, so Mario Silva did get it that Moore was being ironic. He is explaining the context rather well right now on his show :)

Utpal,
Eva needs to pick her battles.
Bill Maher correctly points out that the majority of Americans are IDIOTS.
They need to be spoken to like children. Or else they scream like Rush Limbaugh, cry like Glenn Beck, or talk batshit like ED Hill (terrorist fist bump?).
Sean Penn, Naomi Campbell, & Oliver Stone had to prepare hour long educational material just to justify their casual visits to Venezuela.
Moore didn't have time to do that on Jimmy Kimmel's talk show.
So he spoke to the rednecks & spring-breakers in a language they understood.
He basically told them that Chavez was COOL.
There's nothing wrong with that.

Looks like there is a different version of that Moore-Chávez encounter story. For Spanish speakers:

Calle 13 has now had concerts canceled in both Puerto Rico & Colombia.
Let's see if Jennifer Lopez signs a petition decrying censorship in her native Puerto Rico.
Let's see if Shakira signs a petition decrying censorship in her native Colombia.
Because the both of them had no problem slagging Venezuela:

Think I should send him my (old!) blog entry where the number of Baduel's embezzlement bank account is named, so ol' Rory can do some REAL journalism for a change and fact-check it?
