Quick Somebody Turn This Into A Comic Book & Send It To Reporters

gqrHonduras1.png

It's a testament to the stranglehold the Lanny Davises of the world have on the U.S. press corps that we are genuinely surprised by the results of this Greenberg, Quinlan & Rosner poll today. But yes, when you ask actual Hondurans what they think of their ousted president, they like him, still. And in huge numbers.

But that's not the most surprising little nugget. Check out this shizit, after the jump.

Seriously:

And this is after 3 months of non-stop coup propaganda.

@ Paul Escobar: that's sorta it in a nutshell. I can explain more if you email me at borevnet (at) gmail. I promise there will be no talk of cooters.

Good on the Honduran people.

I'm glad they didn't eat that shit sandwich.

Thanks for the heads up on these polls. I've posted them at DU. The good people are heartened at the total failure of the golpista media to sway any Hondurans their way, even though that's all they've heard for four months: golpistas pissing in their faces on every channel. Yuk!

And the snarks seem to be ignoring the threads showing that ZELAYA RULES, despite that his scepter and crown were ceremoniously sunk to the bottom of the Caribbean by Rory Carroll, Mary O'Grady, Simon Romero and, gulp, James Baker, partying on the U.S. 4th Fleet good ship "Comfort."

Seriously, I want Zelaya restored to his FULL TERM--all the four months (going on five) that he was robbed of, the election postponed at least that long (long enough for broken bones of the living to heal), and I want the Carter Center to poll the Honduran people on restarting the election process at the nomination stage (so Xiomara Zelaya--Mel's wife can consider a run--she is a great lady!), and on...

...drumbeat!!!!

HOLDING A CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY!!!

I refuse to participate, until someone explains Otto's obsession with vaginas.

His last post is just sick!

(Seriously, who can fit a steak into their vagina?!)
___

As for the website...

Are you saying that your web-host tweaked your permissions? (due to hacking fears)

And those changed permissions are preventing the tags/search from working?

Not dessert pie. Other pies, I will consider.

But seriously, Paul Escobar would make a good addition to the booorevvv team.

otto Author Profile Page:

@utpal: EXACTLY the same thing? Including about pie? Kewl.

@booorev; when i started the blerg i just randomly went for blogger/blogspot. Then you hear all about "oh wordpress is sooo much cooler" etc.

But then on further investigation i decided to stay with the googlies cos of one main advantage: can't hack it. Blogger is inside the google fiefdom and you can't get whacked by people that might want to disagree with your pro-active views in a more militant fashion than a simple mail.

Bottom line: I'm happy at blogspot and will stay. The URL social cachet thing is for dumbasses anyway...people don't write in URLs these days, they just click thru.

@otto: I was just about to say exactly the same thing. GMTA.

Ok ok, people! Here's the deal: My web host freaked out over the summer because their servers were getting overloaded. Apparently Movable Type is poorly coded and susceptible to breaking in. I didn't know how to fix it, the end.

If anyone has any advice I'd love to hear it!

To be fair to borev - and not exactly sure what everyone else experienced but this morning I clicked on the link and it was working fine. Donut blame the borev too harshlt. Interwebs work in funky wayz sometimes.

memo to boooorev: give that paul escobar a job (note: no need to pay)

ps: PIE!

Utpal Author Profile Page:

Revolter: so what happened to DurĂ¡n and Kaufman?

Yeah boss, change fix the search and tags!

Wow, those numbers are really telling. This on the heals of Angus Reid poll showing only 22% of Hondurans don't think that Micheletti should step down.

What majority are crazy Republicans citing? Oh, I forgot that 1 rich guy counts as 5 poor brown ones in a real democracy.

http://www.angus-reid.com/polls/view/34316/hondurans_want_micheletti_to_step_down

Yeah, this site's been unsearchable for quite some time already. Fix da code, dude!

Utpal Author Profile Page:

The other thing is that one cant search this site anymore. I don't know what happened.

The Constituyente is also a popular idea, and little wonder: the current constitution that supposedly "allowed" for the putsch, was written by the putschists during the dictatorship of the 1980s.

All around, it's time for that illegitimate monster to die.

PaulEsc: LOL! (I almost thought it was real at first)

BoRev,

The tags on your site don't work.
Clicking a tag produces a "403 Forbidden Error".

Rory Carroll just wrote an article about the issue:
__________

THE GUARDIAN

Pro-Chavez website reflects deterioration of revolution

By Rory Carroll

Opened with much fanfare at the dawn of President Chavez's Bolivarian revolution, BoRev promised to be the gem in the revolutions online stone.

But like many things pro-Chavez, things have taken a turn for the worse...

Local reader Paul Escobar supported Chavez in the previous election. But he is losing faith in the administrations ability to deliver: "It's like Zimbabwe! The tags don't work! Things shouldn't be this way!!!"

Meanwhile Brazil's top blog: BraRev, is quietly surpassing its more rowdy neighbour.

With a fancy new banner, and functioning tag system, it promises to serve as a model for future website development.
__________

With time run out for any sense of 'free and fair elections', given how much time is left even if the coup government dissolved completely this afternoon, Al Giordano has heard a 'little bird' with an interesting proposition:
http://narcosphere.narconews.com/thefield/3555/next-popular-referendum-new-honduras-constitution

The resistance movement should go ahead with its referendum. If support for Zelaya is this strong, the lac of confidence in the country's political institutions must also be very high and the resistance movement could be able to seize that for the 'big victory' they have always sought off into the distance.

Apparently raising the minimum wage is actually a very popular idea... who knew? Well at least for the majority who can't afford to buy off someone with a gun.

Is this true? Shiznit.
