So one teensy little detail in the Honduran "bring back constitutional democracy deal" of 2009 is the tiny formality that Zelaya's return must be "approved" by "congress," so naturally:
"The head of Honduras' Congress said Monday that he has yet to decide when to call lawmakers back into session to debate whether ousted President Manuel Zelaya should be reinstated. To hell with these assholes. Seriously let's all move to El Salvador.Jose Alfredo Saavedra ... said he has yet to call Congress to meet and will not be rushed despite calls from diplomats not to delay the vote."

Micheletti innocently wonders if under these accord point thingies, they have to restore the actual elected guy or if maybe they can just, you know, submit any number of civilian leaders to head the government of national unity, you know, like, um, maybe, well, him?

Fucking fascists ban birth control pills--specifically, the "morning after" ones, claiming they cause abortion. Um, NO, they don't. The only actual abortion pill on the market is RU-486, and it's not a hormonal emergency contraception pill.
Add this to the fact that the dictatorship is using rape and other sexual abuses against pro-democracy women, and I think you can see an ooky trend coming up, no?

That Javier Corrales dude is from the holy Moises-NED gang. He also writes crap about Vzla and Chavez periodically, Weisbrot had pieces on stuff written by him (year 2005 or so).

More writes who don't give a shit about even looking for the text of the proposed Zelaya referendum. Presumably it's okay to write that Zelaya wanted to have the Hondurans vote to make him Hitler, because, Honduras is far away and there's no magic electronic way of getting accurate information all the way from there to here.
More lazy bastards. I mean, c'mon, you can hate the dude, or whatever, but is it really so much to ask people writing publicly to at least know the minimal basics of what the fuck they're writing about? Particularly on a non-technical subject, i.e., what the text of a referendum was and when it if at all would have come into any effect?

Well, it wasn't a coincidence that the legislature was dismissed a day early.
Actually, I wouldn't put it past this crew to have Congress vote against rescinding their illegal June 28th order, and just saying, 'Fuck it, the accord said Congress decides, so suck on this,' and if they do then they'll hold sham elections under conditions of near or active rebellion.
Now, they're not going to get any major international lenders renewing funds until they restore Zelaya, and few if any governments will respect elections held under such duress.
